Creating pages outside of the CMS, then importing Json

We want to be able to create landing pages outside of WordPress using SiteOrigin Page Builder by importing JSON with pre-built widget content. We hope this will help us to automate some of the admin of content design in the CMS.

Despite ensuring the correct widget structure, IDs, and metadata based on SiteOrigin’s specifications, the widgets don’t render in the CMS after import. We’ve matched the format from a working export but still face difficulties importing the JSON successfully.

Can you help me troubleshoot why JSON imports aren’t rendering content into the pagebuilder?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jwb

Thanks for getting in touch. We’ve identified an issue that could result in custom layouts not showing up correctly or resulting in an error. We’ll be releasing this fix in an upcoming release, but until then I’ve prepared a patched version of Page Builder for you to try.

    Before proceeding, do a backup.

Navigate to Pluginsinstalled Plugins and deactivate Page Builder by SiteOrigin, and then delete it. Scroll to the top of the page and click Add New, Upload Plugin. Upload siteorigin-panels.2.29.21-beta.zip. When prompted, activate Page Builder.

    Kind regreads,
    Alex
