Creating new pages that are not in the menu?

For some reason I can not figure out how to create new pages that do not show up in the navigation menu bar. I want to create some new pages that link from other pages, but not from the menu

    Hi Ronan

    Thanks for running Vantage.

    Please head to Appearance > Menus, create a custom menu, save it and make sure it’s assigned to the theme’s primary menu location. As long as you haven’t checked to add top level pages automatically your menu will now only display pages / links that you add yourself.
