I would like to be able to create a link from different blog posts on my website to specific sections of another page on my website – my blog comments on food recipes then I have another page dedicated to those recipes. I believe I need to create an ‘anchor’ on the recipes page so that I can establish a link from my blog to the specific recipe. How can I do this?

Hi Michael
Thanks for reaching out.

Hi Andrew, thanks for the link. I’ve had a look and established links to anchors as I had hoped, however, each anchor point seems to sit under my navigation bar which doesn’t look great – am I doing something wrong? Could I link to a photo on my recipe page, could I give a photo a ‘unique – identifier’?
Thanks so much for your help
That is a challenge with the sticky menu turned on.
Do you know how to inspect your page’s source code with your browser’s developer tool? If not, check out this tutorial here: https://siteorigin.com/basics/modifying-theme-design-with-custom-css/.
Once you have that down, inspect the page source just above where you want the user to land and find any ID there. For example if you inspect the source code around the Leave a Reply heading when responding on this forum you’ll see an id called respond, you could in theory link to that #respond.
OR try inserting an ID of your own, above the point where you need users to land, but just above.
