6Hi ron
The template should just be vantage, if you remove the word premium you should be good to go.
Here is a demo child theme you can start with: https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/vantage-child-vanilla.zip
Hope that helps.
Andrew,
thank you it but changes that I was able to make on the premium theme never got ported to the child theme like the header, menu and footer. Do i have to go in and re-customize the child theme?
Ron
Such a pain isn’t it! Yeah, unfortunately the child gets treated like a new theme in terms of theme options. What I usually do is open the Customizer with the parent theme activated and then in a new tab, activate the child. That way I can copy over Customizer settings manually. Don’t forget to re-assign your menu location too.
Hopefully we’ll find a workaround for this in the future.
Andrew,
Thank you for the excellent support!!
For sure, glad we could help out.
“Don’t forget to re-assign your menu location too.”
How do you do that?
