Created pages just redirect me to home & can’t change row

So I created a page using page builder

And when I preview it before sumbiting it for the fist time I see this which is what I want

But then once I Publish the page I cant preview it anymore, or go to it using the permalink. I just get redirected to my home directory.

I also realized that I can’t change row layout on existing pages I’ve created to “Right to Left” When I click done it simply changes back to “Left to Right”

Please Help, I’m not sure what it causing this, I tried disabling all other plugins, but still get these issues.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi André,

That’s really odd. Just to make this abundantly clear – this is not a widespread problem.

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

I have created the user, Further digging around got me thinking that the issue is with my theme and the site builder not working together nicely.

I’m using this quite popular theme https://en-za.wordpress.org/themes/sydney/

I realized that when I activate another theme I can create that services page and then save it and it will run fine when I apply the sydney theme again.

So I think there might be a comparability issue between the Site builder and the sydney theme.

As admin you can create pages etc. and change things as you wish, just please put it back the way you got it when done :)

    Thanks for the support

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi André,

There are dozens, if not hundreds, of users using that theme without issue so it’s unlikely it’s a direct theme issue. I’ll look at your site as soon as able.

Try and publish those new pages you created, It was only then that the issue came up. when they weren’t live they displayed fine if I clicked on preview

I also had a look now and can’t change the row layout to “Right to Left” I tried in different browsers and cleared my cache but still can’t seem to change that.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi André,

Both pages are now publicly published.

I wasn’t able to set the row layout to right to left but I suspect that was due to a third party plugin you have installed that is making adjustments to your row styles sidebar (among other things). For reference, the row styles sidebar will, by default, look like this:

This is your row styles sidebar:

Please note that there may be a delay in my response.

I suspected something like that before and have tried disabling my other plugins but it didn’t work.

I have now disabled all my plugins again except SiteOrigin plugins but it seems my row styles still remain the same, and I still can’t change the layout to “Right to Left”

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi André,

Hm. It’s theme doing it then. To be completely honest, very few people use that setting so I’ve never really tried it with that theme. You’ll have to contact your theme developers about a fix. Sorry mate. :(

  10. 8 years, 4 months ago André Erasmas (Legion739)

Ok thanks for the help :)

The reason I wanted to change the left to right is that I wanted to create a page like this

    myPage

With each image and text being a row, The issue comes up when you switch to mobile, as it then puts that page in the order Image, Text, Text, Image and not Image, Text, Image, text

Thanks for the support, the page builder is working fine and I can build the pages now.
I will net the theme developers know about the issue.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi André,

Uh, maybe I’m not following but a quick glance at your about page on mobile reveals that it’s in the desired order – image, text, image, text.

  12. 8 years, 4 months ago André Erasmas (Legion739)

I swoped the 2nd image and text around on my about page, so that it would not appear incorrectly because of not being able to change the order form left to right.

I will just disable that theme and try and change it then enable it again and see if that works.
But i’m not to worried if that left to right doesn’t work, at least the page builder itself is working correctly :)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi André,

Ah. Right, that explains it. Sorry, I couldn’t be of more help.

It might work, but it might “delete” that setting when you save the page again due to it not being present in the settings.

    Have a good weekend! :)

Ah ok I will keep that in mind,

Thanks for the help, enjoy your weekend too :)
