Hi, can anyone explain to a noob how to create a tiled gallery? I love the slider on the homepage but ned to create a traditional tiled gallery for an artists portfolio.
I’ve seen about changing shortcodes using ‘default’. How and where do I do this? Can’t figure it out for the life of me…
Thank you in advance!
For sure.
You can either globally turn the Origami Gallery off at Appearance > Theme Settings OR you can turn it off one at a time. Create a gallery and then click over to Text view and find the gallery shortcode, it’ll be in square brackets. Right before the end of the square brackets insert:

The full gallery code, with your ID’s in there of course, would look like this:
Hi Andrew, thanks for getting back to me. When I go to text view I don’t see any shortcode, instead I have this:
Protestant Girls in Catholic Schools: Young Christian MartyrProtestant Girls in Catholic Schools: Nine to Four
However if I just type the shortcode you give above with my image ID’s I get a sliding gallery that has no automatic slide. Is it possible to just have square thumbnails that you click on then expand to a lightbox-style view?
Please send me a set of temporary login details and your url to [email protected] and I’ll take a look.
