update crashed my site
i tried to install the old version
gave an error
Fatal error: Class ‘SiteOrigin_Panels_Settings’ not found in /home/loongtri/public_html/wp-content/plugins/siteorigin-panels/siteorigin-panels.php on line 40
i was able to install the 2.4.25 back …
The layout looks fine in local host but different in live site
Hi Gopu,
To clarify, did that error appear on update or was that error present when rolling back the plugin?
If the latter, was there any error messages when your site crashed?
hai alex.
I updated the plugin and found that the page layouts are all mixed up. so I deleted the plugin and reinstalled the 2.4.25 version by manually downloading the file and uploading it via ‘upload plugin’. when I activated the old version I received the error. I again reinstalled it, now no issue. may be the first time I uploaded the upload was not correctly done.
But, I tried the same layout on my local setup but the layout seems to be fine. why is it
Hi Gopu,
I’m not too sure. If this happens again, can you please send me a link so I can inspect the resulting markup?
I suspect older, pre-update, styling was cached and outputting and by reinstalling the plugin you’ve forcefully cleared it.
Alex, i can reinstall the plugin and see how it looks.. will update this thread soon.
Hi Gopu,
I think you’ll need to update from 2.4.25 (after using it for a little while) to cause the issue you’re experiencing.
alex please look the home page
https://www.loongtrips.com/ the page was not like this before.. please have a look i need to change back to original
Hi Gopu,
Can you please elaborate on the differences? I ask as I’m not familiar with this website and nothing jumps out to me as being wrong. Sorry about this!
ok let me see i can get you a screen shot…
This is how the site looked before update
https://www.loongtrips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/screencapture-loongtrips-1492519359726.jpg
and this is how the site looks when updated to 2.5.1

Hi Gopu,
Oh. I didn’t see that at all. To clarify, did this happen with Beta 3 for you?
Can you please try updating once more and navigate to WP AdminSettingsPage Builder and open the Layout Tab. Set the Use Legacy Layout setting to Always. Does that help?
I suspect the new flex based update isn’t playing nicely with your setup. :(
Alex,
i rolled back to the old version, so if yiu have checked my site now you might see the orginal layout.
But, i used this same layout in the local host with PB 2.5.1 and it looks fine without changing any of the settings.
let me see what happens if i do the front page once more.. will update you soon
Hi Gopu,
Are there any plugin or setting differences between the local and live version?
Alex,
I changed the settings to what you asked me to do. the layout changed back to what it looked like in the older version.
there are a couple of plugin changes between the live and local, i will check it and let you know
Alex ,
found the culprit
https://wordpress.org/plugins/remove-query-strings-from-static-resources/
this plugin is causing the issue. i used this plugin because in google page insights there was a string error that was showing. Now that the plugin is causing the issue what is the alternative for it ? The plugin is popular one with 80,000+ downloads. looking for an answer Alex. Thanks for looking into my issue. :)
