Just a simpel question.
So! If I make a Static home page I cant use the custum home page function?
Johan
Hi Johan
Thanks for reaching out.
Appearance > Home Page is a shortcut. When working in Appearance > Home Page you can click Edit as a page, it’ll take you to Pages > Home. If you turn Appearance > Home Page OFF and assign a static home page you can still manage that page using Page Builder. Just edit the page in question and click the Page Builder tab next to Visual and Text.
Hope that helps.
Hi Andrew
Yes that helped. I guess I had somekind of spinning thought about it, but I get it now. There just one more thing. Hope you can help me there. I want to not show the blue login and other links down the home page but cant find them in de back end. They only show up on the home page now. On the other pages they are already gone.
Many Thanks
Hi Johan
You can edit your sidebar widgets from Appearance > Widgets, see the sidebar widget area.
If you have a spinning icon at Appearance > Home Page, please try de-activating all non-SiteOrigin plugins at once and re-test. Let us know how that goes.
Before checking for plugin conflicts at Appearance > Home Page, perhaps you could check for any JS errors first:

Thanks
One more idea from Greg is to clear your browser’s cache and your site’s cache if you use a caching plugin. Cached scripts can be a problem after an update. Thanks.
Hi Andrew. Many thanks for helping I tried cleaning the caches but links kept appearing. Then I deactivated and reactivated. Didn't change much. Then I was looking on appearance-widgets and there was a footer container in working order but down the page it said " inactive sidebar (not used)". Then I checked under appearence and background and couldnt find the sidebar section no more. The row stops after static home function there. Seems I got myself a problem while trying to make the links stop apearring. Made a mistake along the way. Is there a way to activate this sidebar section again? I am not an expert but could it be I am looking at default links here? Sorry for asking so much. I will stop after this one.
Many thanks again
Hi Johan
Sorry to hear we didn’t make progress. Origami doesn’t have a sidebar widget area, only a footer area at Appearance > Widgets. Hopefully I didn’t miss the point of your questions.
Perhaps you could send through a set of temporary login details so we can check out the Page Builder issue? Instructions below, thanks.

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.
