Converting To Blocks

3 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 3 years ago

I have always used classic editor with PageBuilder. Now I am deciding to use blocks. I uploaded the plugin ‘convert to blocks’ thinking I would just see the normal pagebuilder rows and columns in the back end, and then blocks inside of those fields.
However, the block I see is just one block of code in the back end in custom html mode.
What is the process to preserve the pagebuilder layout.

    Hi Glen

    Thanks for reaching out.

We’ll continue to offer a classic form of Page Builder for the foreseeable future.

You can migrate a page by downloading the JSON layout from Layouts > Import/Export > Download Layout. Once the page has been opened in the Block Editor, insert a SiteOrigin Layout Block and import the layout via the same path, Layouts > Import/Export > Import Layout.
