Converting Post Loop Titles to

Resolved 3 replies premiumthemetheme-vantage

One issue I have with using post loop widget is that the loop generates the title of the post in tags. I realize that the original post title should be however there should be ONLY one per page lest you offend the WC3, Google, and Bing gods. Is there a way, with a function snippet, to force the Post Loop widget to display the title in a heading tag of say 2 or 3?

Thanks

    Oops the forum stripped my tags.

    I am concerned about the post loop widget generating the post titles in

    <h1>

    tags. The original post title should have [/code. However, the post loop widget generating them on a page that already uses the heading 1 tag violates the correct semantic protocol that WC3, Google, and Bing have determined, and I know Bing will penalize a site for more than one heading 1 tag per page and I suspect Google will also penalize. Is there a way, with a function snippet, to force the Post Loop widget to display the title in a heading tag of say 2 or 3?

    Hi Todd

    Unfortunately, this isn’t possible without some custom coding. I’ve marked this thread as a feature request. We often look through these threads to get ideas for what to add in our future updates. Hopefully, we’ll be able to add this in a future update.

    I look forward to the update. It will solve a serious semantic issue as it stands now.
