Content Blocks – Re-arranging to alphabetize

I am using Novark Theme, and am using page builder. I added content blocks with Hootkit and am trying to re-arrange them alphabetically, but when I update the page after moving them over, it reverts back to the prior set up. I am not sure how to fix this issue. Any ideas?

I have tried duplicating the block and then re-arranging from there as well, but still does the same thing.

my website and pages I am specifically talking about are:

Sri Lanka

Countries

India

New Zealand – North Island

I have tried to update each page, and have had no success. Any advice would be great. I am hoping I won’t have to delete them all and re-enter them all, hoping there is an easier fix.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Josh

    Hi Josh

Thanks for posting. Are your changes being saved/maintained in the WordPress admin? If not, it might be worth trying a plugin conflict test. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except for those authored by SiteOrigin and in this case the plugin powering your content blocks. Be sure to clear your caching plugin before deactivating it. Full details of the test below.

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

I tried that and it still didn’t work. I had only hootkit and pagebuilder activated and it still won’t work. I cleared all the cache as well.

It is not a plugin issue.

As soon as I re-arrange the countries, and click done on hootkit content blocks, then update the page, it automatically reverts back to prior arrangement.

What can I do to get this resolved as I don’t want to have to re-enter all of these on the different pages.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for trying those steps. There isn’t anything being done from the Page Builder side that should be causing a problem of this nature. You could consider asking Hootkit if they’ve seen an issue of this nature before, they might be able to assist. You could also test the widget in a regular theme widget area, save and then re-order to see if a similar issue is occurring.
