Hi there,
I am new here posting. I have Vantage Premium. I am unsure why but the phone number that used to be displayed on the right side of our screen has now shifted to the left and is completely blocking our compant logo (located at the top to the extreme left of the website). Please help, looks very unprofessional and I have no idea where to start to fix the problem! Thanks in advance. Kat
Hi Kat
Thanks for reaching out.
A recent update to Chrome caused the Vantage header widget area to overlap the logo. The problem was resolved in Vantage version
1.7.12
. To check which version of Vantage you’re using, go to AppearanceThemes, hover over the Vantage screenshot and click Theme Details. If you’re using version1.x.xx
and have a version less than 1.7.12, go to DashboardUpdates to update. If you’re using version2.x.xx
, unfortunately, there isn’t an update available. Below you’ll find two options to resolve the problem:1. Switch to Vantage
1.x.xx
hosted on WordPress.org.Go to Appearance > Themes and temporarily switch to any other theme. Delete Vantage by hovering over the Vantage screenshot, clicking Theme Details and then Delete. Finally, go to Appearance > Themes > Add New, search for and install Vantage.
2. Add a Custom CSS rule.
Go to AppearanceCustom CSS and add the following rule:
Why is the premium version of Vantage
(2.x.xx)
no longer being updated? In early August 2016 we stopped selling Vantage Premium and introduced SiteOrigin Premium, a single plugin that adds additional functionality to Page Builder by SiteOrigin, the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and all of our themes. In August of 2018 we discontinued email support and updates for Vantage Premium.
Almost all of the additional settings previously found in Vantage Premium are now part of the free Vantage theme hosted on the WordPress.org theme directory. This version is being regularly updated. Footer Attribution and Ajax Comments, two options previously part of Vantage Premium are now addons in SiteOrigin Premium.
If you’d like to make use of the Footer Attribution and Ajax Comments addons in SiteOrigin Premium as well as a host of additional functionality, please find a 30% discount code below:

Thank you so much for your reply. Sorry I have not replied until now, we have been dealing with a family situation. So I can switch themes and then delete and reinstall Vantage? I am afraid of losing my website, I am a complete novice and know very little about WP- apologies. I just then tried to insert the code you wrote but no luck. I have two separate “Custom CSS” that come up under “Appearances”. I inserted your code into both but the logo is still covered. I will wait to hear back from you before I do anything that stuffs up what I have done. TIA!
Hi :) Ideally, you’d switch over to the version on WordPress.org as it is being maintained. Switch to any other theme, delete Vantage and then install from ThemesAdd New. You won’t lose your content or settings. If anything comes up, please let us know. That should resolve the header challenge.
Thank you. Sorry, but how do I switch over to the version on WordPress.org? Do I visit WordPress.org and download Vantage to my computer? Or can I simply switch over to a theme like 2013, that is already preinstalled in my themes, then delete Vantage, then reinstall Vantage from Themes- add new? Also Vantage premium lets me change the colours of my website where as from memory the free Vantage was blue? How do I ensure that I can keep my custom website colours rather than the blue? So sorry Andrew for all these questions! I really appreciate your help and support!
No worries. All of your settings will be safe. Login to your WordPress installation. Go to AppearanceThemes and activate any other theme. Hover over the Vantage screenshot, click Theme Details and then Delete in the bottom right. Next, go to AppearanceThemesAdd New. Use the search field top right, search for Vantage, install and activate. Hope that helps :)
Hi Andrew,
Thank you. I have done what you said with success, thank you! However, the buttons on the site that are supposed to say “enquire now” etc are no longer functional. It just says “template not found” and it is not an active link anymore. Do you know what this could be from? My site is mygrannyflatwa.com.au Thanks again for your help!
Glad to hear you’ve made some progress. Try going to WordPress AdmninSettingsPage BuilderWidgets and enable Legacy Bundled Widgets. Does that help?
Hi there, just checked. Yep it is definitely enabled. :/
Thanks for trying. Is there any change if you edit the page and edit one of the widgets concerned? Check the template field in the widget and make sure a template is selected. Save the widget and then save the page.
AWESOME!!!! I just went into the button and reclicked the style and it seemed to fix it!!! I really appreciate your help and support on this! I really do! You guys are amazing.
Super :) Really glad to hear that fixed it. Thanks for hanging in there with us and for your support. All the best.
Sorry to bug you again! But any chance I could have my premium code resent? I had already purchased it but now it says a “A site Origin Theme” in Footer as I deleted Vantage and reinstalled as instructed. Sorry to bother!
Hi Kat. I can but do you think you could spare a moment and re-read my original reply. In that reply, I cover why you’d see the footer attribution after switching to the free version and what’s replaced Vantage Premium. If you want to switch back to Vantage Premium, I can send you the last version we released in 2016, you can then apply the Custom CSS offered in that same reply. Please, give it a quick read and let me know how you’d like to proceed. Thanks :)
Hi Andrew,
Sorry, I was just wondering if you could send me the code for the Vantage Premium. I already bought it but then had to switch back to Vantage free as the contact number had moved on the website and was blocking the logo. I was then advised to switch back to vantage free which fixed the problem but now will need vantage premium code again and try and rebuild the site again. I apologise in advance but I am not very good with WordPress, everything I have learnt is from YouTube. Thank you.
Hi Kat, I can send you the last ZIP file version of Vantage Premium. Do you not just want to use Vantage available on WordPress.org though? You can install it from AppearanceThemesAdd NewUse the search field top right to search for Vantage. It’s the most up to date version.
Hi Andrew,
thank you for your reply. i am so sorry but i am clueless with this stuff. could you please take a look at my website and tell me how i get rid of the old footer writing. the 2018 copywright had to be replaced but i cant find anyway how to delete it. also with vantage premium you could erase the site origin theme writing. is it still possible to do this?
many thanks
I just found how to do it but it is saying buy premium to erase the site origin theme but i alredy bought the theme but am using normal vantage now, is there a way around this?
Hi Kat, if you have a moment, in my initial reply in this thread I covered what happened with Vantage Premium in 2016. If you have a sec, perhaps you could quickly go over that just to get an idea of where we’re at. You can use Vantage Premium and have the ability to remove footer attribution but it means using a retired branch of the theme.
Below is a ZIP file for the last version of Vantage Premium we released:

To install it, go to AppearanceThemes, switch to any other theme and then delete Vantage. Then, install the ZIP file from AppearanceThemesAdd NewUpload Theme.
Hope that helps :)
