Contact Form Widget error, line 131

9 years ago · Last reply by garrettsuzak 9 years ago

Hi there,

When I’m adding the Contact form side by side with the Google Maps (50%-50%), I’m getting an error. I’ve tried adding the Contact form before and after the Google Maps, but it just deletes that row either way after showing the error. I’ve also tried this with and without information in the Contact form itself. No difference. This is my very first site I’m building, and I have no idea what this error is saying. I searched the forum but didn’t seem to find anything relative, if I missed something please refer me there. Here’s the error:

Fatal error: Function name must be a string in /home/content/a2pnexwpnas04_data01/81/3317281/html/wp-content/plugins/contact-widgets/includes/class-base-widget.php on line 131

Thanks in advance for any pointers!

    Hi Garrett,

The widget you’re using is third party widget. Now, I honestly don’t know the first thing about that plugin – it’s slightly too generic for me to search for. While I can help you (albeit slowly as I’m not familiar with this plugin), you would be better off contacting the plugin developers, and asking for support from them. Would you still like my help with this issue? And if not, is there anything else I can help you with today?

I’m sorry. I was referring to the contact form widget within site origin. Not an external plugin for it.

    Hi Garrett,

Okay but that error message points to a third party plugin. If it was our widget the error would be:

Fatal error: Function name must be a string in /home/content/USERNAME/81/3317281/html/wp-content/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/widgets/contact/contact.php on line LINENUMBER

Notice how different the error messages are? Maybe you’re accidently adding the wrong widget to the page?

Oh I see! I will check around again as I haven’t been into the site since running into this, along with another roadblock. Will report back with any findings.

I apologize, I was thinking all of the widgets that are available are site origin’s since I was using that page builder.. Still learning!

I’m thinking the site origin Features widget should work for what I’m trying to do (add contact details) in a way that appeals to the eye nicely.

Thanks for helping me understand what was going on. Cheers!
