Contact Form sends multi emails!

10 years ago · Last reply by Cfandren 9 years ago

I have just built a website and am using the webform on it. Whenever I send a test email I get 4 to 6 copies of the same email. I am not quite sure why. Here is a screen shot. :-)

I’m experiencing the same issue but receiving 3 emails each and every time. Were you able to fix it?

    Hi Carrie and Sertan

I’ve logged this in our issue tracker. We’ll try recreate the issue on our side and see if there is a fix for it.

    Hi,
I’m experiencing the same issue. At the beginning I thought the problem was caused by the SMTP plugin but I tried several ones and the problem never solved nor changed “shape”: I get 3 identical emails for every time the the send button is pressed. I’m using Postman SMTP and from their email log everything works smoothly.
Do you have any updates about this bug?

    Cheers,
    Chiara

One cause we’ve been able to find is a conflict with the Jetpack contact form. So disabling Jetpack seems to fix the issue. We’ve added a fix that should prevent multiple calls to the wp_mail function, hopefully this will fix the issue.

Greg, how do I get the fix? I don’t have Jetpack that I know of, so that will not help. I have widgets bundle 1.5.7

      Hi Cfandren,

The fix is in the current version of the plugin so it sounds like your issue might be unrelated to said fix. Can you please start a new thread with your issue? We can only offer you the best support possible when you’re the owner of a thread.

I added fields for address and phone number and that fixed it. Strange.
