Hi – We’ve embedded a contact form on the site and for some reason it doesn’t include the data for the text box when someone fills out the form. You can find the form here:
We have 2 other forms on the site that work fine so we’re not sure what the issue is with this one. As a side note, we do have the following custom CSS to make the size of the text box smaller on the Contact Us Form:
.contact_form .sow-form-field-textarea {
margin-bottom: 10px;
Hi, thanks for reaching out.
I haven’t encountered an issue with the text field not sending. You could perhaps start by checking for a working baseline. Temporarily deactivate all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin and switch to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen. Send a test message, does the issue resolve? That’ll let you know if a working baseline is available. You could also try adding an SMTP plugin if you aren’t using one already to route emails via SMTP and see if that helps.
Thanks for your suggestions. We tried de-activating the other plugins and changing the theme to a default one but that didn’t work but we believe we’ve found the cause of the issue – if the label name is too long it breaks that field. We couldn’t find any way to update the character length by field type so we just reduced the length of the label name for now and the form works fine. Now we’re trying to use the Checkbox/ Radio button options but there doesn’t appear to be any way to enter the content for either label type. Can you let us know how that works?
Glad to hear you’re making progress.
Hopefully, I’m following the question. For checkboxes and radio buttons, you can create Options via the Add New link below the Options repeater field heading.
