Contact Form – Send Default Message.

I want to use the Contact Form to send a default message of support for a cause. Is there a neat way of doing this without having to code?

The message at the receiving end should have a fixed default subject “Support for Middle Beach ACV listings”
the name and preferably the email of the person sending it and the default message,”I support the application for listing the Middle Beach Buildings as Assets of Community Value”

I want to make it easy for supporters of the cause to email.

It seems that with a combination of Not Required fields and missing message fields I should be able to achieve this.

This application would also be good for standard literature request on a sales site where the prospect only has to enter their name and email and a message with a pre-filled subject say “Literature Request” and a standard message “Please send me your brochure.” is sent.

I kinda think this is possible using the Contact Form widget as is but am not sure. Otherwise can you recommend a form that can do it. Or an example of how to code yours.

Had the Email sending problem. Checked the php mail() – OK. Disabled the other mail widgets I had down loaded – worked a treat.
Thanks,
Andrew Parsons

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Andrew,

it’s currently not possible to create a custom mail body at this time. :( It’s definitely on the list of improvements though!

You should be able to do this quite easily with Contact Form 7 so consider giving that a try.
