Contact Form not replying to sender

Hi, I have an issue that I can’t seem to solve.

I’m using the latest version of Site Origin. When I receive an email from the form on my site and reply to this email it uses my email address instead of the senders address.

I was hoping this was a bug that had been fixed and would be solved with the update, but it doesn’t seem to have worked.

Any ideas how I can solve this?

Thanks so much.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lady,

Are you using Gmail or Google Apps? If you aren’t, can you please clarify which mail provider you’re using?

Unfortunately, an issue with how Google handles reply-to at the moment which means that the correct email won’t be used automatically so you’ll need to manually change the reply email.

For more information, please refer to this Google Product Forum post. Google appears to be working on this issue.

Hi, I’m not using Google mail. It’s an mailbox which is part of the hosting/domain.

    Here’s the url:

The form is used in several places on the site, but on this page you can find it under the ‘Get in touch’ section.

    Thanks for the speedy reply!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lady,

    Thanks for confirming.

Would it be possible for you to send me an export of your SiteOrigin Contact Form? To export a page, please open up the linked page in the editor and click the Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as WeTransfer (no email is required).

    Hi Alex

I’ve just done this. Hopefully you’ve got the file?

    Thanks, Ali.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lady,

Thanks. The provided export of your page works without issue for me – it corrects uses the reply-to email (which is the user-submitted email) rather than the From Email Address. Are you using the latest version of SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle? For reference, the latest version is 1.15.2.

If so, if you’re testing the contact form please input an email that’s different to the From Email Address or it will appear as though there isn’t a difference when you click reply.

    Hi Alex

Ok, I’ll test this again, check that I’ve got the latest version of the widgets bundle and get back to you if there are still issues.

    Thank you.
