I am trying the contact form widget . When I set the email for replies to be sent to and test it , I never receive any emails.
There is no error message (it shows the Thanks for contacting us” message”)and I have tried it on 2 different blogs and different email addresses including an email on the same domain as the blog (in case there was any restriction there ) which didnt help.
Please advise.
Hi Patr100
Sorry to hear about the hassle. If you’re still experiencing this problem, please, check your Spam filter if possible and see if that isn’t the problem. If it isn’t try running a plugin conflict test to ensure no other plugins are interfering with the mail function. Plugin conflict test information can be found below.
Thanks

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
I always check my spam folder. I disabled all non Site Origin themes, No better.
I installed it on another WP site using the 2012 theme and no other plug ins.
It worked then, so it possibly is related to the theme I use for most of my site which is Make
by The Theme Foundry.
However I now notice your Site Origin Form widget does not have a file upload options, which I
may need later? A pity , and also , that it wont work for me with my preferred Theme.
Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, we don’t yet have a file upload field, I’m sure that’s something we’ll add in the near future. Given this requirement, it might be best to revisit this problem when you plan on using the widget again, hopefully in the future. Contact Form 7 or Ninja Forms are two plugins we can recommend. There are of course many other options.
Well I recently tried Contact 7 and while the main form worked , I couldn’t get the file upload to work (the instructions are not that clear – there have been criticisms of recent general updates) and looking at their site Ninja forms appear to charge for file upload so I really would prefer a free solution that I can actually use in all situations and using Site Origins integrated widget would have meant I can avoid installing yet another plug in at least for now for a basic contact form even if file upload came later.
Thanks for the update. Sure, I wish our upload feature was ready. Here is a comparison post you might look at:
