Contact Form ‘Jumping’ to top of page on Error

The basic contact form widget works great in our site, with one exception: If the visitor to the page makes a mistake in his input of name or email that triggers an error message, the form will jump automatically to the top of the page instead of simply ‘staying there’ and showing the errors displayed on the fields. Since the form is towards the bottom of the page, this is very confusing to a visitor.

Is there a way to avoid this via code?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jerry,

That’s odd. To clarify, does the page not jump down after page load for you? I ask because it is for me so I’m not too sure why it’s not for you. Are you able to replicate this issue in a different browser?

As the contact form doesn’t have Ajax (this means that form submission will result in a page reload), the page load is required but after the page has finished loading the browser should automatically jump to the contact form section.
