I have set up the contact form widget and it doesn’t appear to be letting me receive emails from GMAIL accounts. During testing, if I put a gmail address as the “from” it does not seem to ever be received. If I put a different email, say email.edu I receive them instantly.
The address the emails are being sent to is also a gmail.com address.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?? The emails are not going to spam.
Thanks!!
Hi Howlingsprings,
I suspect this might be a server issue instead of a contact form issue. Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can verify this? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.
This is a private message.
Hi Howlingsprings,
Sorry for the delay.
I’ve run a number of tests both on your site, remotely, and locally. I’m unable to replicate this with any setting. As such, I think this is a server issue. Please contact your hosting company for support on this matter.
