Constrain Width of Site Content, Even with Stretched Images

I am playing around with the Vantage theme. I love when images and coloured page breaks spill off the page horizontally, but I want to constrain the width of the site content so the site is quite narrow. Is there a way I can tighten the margins so the text sits in a narrow section of the screen with large margins on either side? Keep in mind I want the images, sliders, coloured sections, etc. to spill off the page horizontally.

If I do this, will I lose site responsiveness?

    Hi Juliana,

    You can change this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Add the following CSS.

    .site-main .full-container {	max-width: 900px !important;}

    How does that look? If you wish to make it smaller simply lower the amount.

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
