Got vantage free from wordpress by searching themes in wordpress, upgraded to premium. Got a theme update alert to go from 1.6.2 to 1.6.3, so I was looking for a change log. That’s when I saw the latest version of vantage is 4.11 (!) What’s the deal – can I upgrade to the lasted? How old is 1.6.2? It’s still being updated so there are active versions 1,2,3, and 4?
Hi, thanks for posting. Vantage Premium hasn’t been sold in quite some time. Almost all of the extra features features from Vantage Premium were moved into the free version on WordPress.org when we launched SiteOrigin Premium. SiteOrigin Premium is a single plugin that adds functionality across all of our products, including themes.

1.6.3 is the most current version of Vantage.
If you’ve upgraded to SiteOrigin Premium you should have received installation instructions via email. Once installed, you’ll see SiteOrigin Premium as a plugin with the list of plugins in your WordPress installation. You can control which modules are enabled from Plugins > SiteOrigin Premium. SiteOrigin Premium documentation can be found here: Page: SiteOrigin Premium Documentation.
If you can send me the link to the changelog you looked at that showed 4.1 I can take a look. We’ve never taken Vantage by SiteOrigin to that number though. It’s possible you looked at the changelog from Vantage by AppThemes which is another, totally different theme, not listed on WordPress.org that has the same name.

Ok. Yeah, the 4.11 is a different vendor.

This is the changelog for the version you have installed: https://github.com/siteorigin/vantage/releases.
This is the changelog for Vantage Premium: http://updates.siteorigin.com/readme/vantage/. Vantage Premium is still maintained for users that have it installed.
Previously, when we had a free and a premium theme version we ran the free versions on 1.x.x and the premium versions on 2.x.x.
