Helle,
I’m using the premium Virtue theme from Kadence theme, which has SiteOrigin’s bundle widgets integrated into it.
In the home page I used a slider offered by the Virtue theme and the article carousel offered by your SiteOrigin Bundle widget.
But when I install this carousel, my virtual slider no longer scrolls the images, it only stays on the first image.
I contacted Virtue support who saw the article carousel js error in the chrome console. They tell me to check with you. The slider works fine if I remove the SiteOrigin article carousel.
My site is currently being redesigned, so in maintenance mode, I can give you temporary access but I don’t want to display it here, can we send you a private message?
Can I have help?
THANKS !
Hi, thanks for getting in touch.
Do you perhaps have a publicly available URL where we can take a look at the issue?
Thanks
Andrew
Hi
Here it is: https://new.chambres-dhotes-haute-maurienne.fr
Thanks. Kadence is also using the Slick library. Does the SiteOrigin Post Carousel work normally if you setup a test page without a theme slider?
Hi Andrew
Siteorigin's article carousel works great on the current homepage, even with the kadence slider. It's just that when enabled, the kadence theme slider no longer scrolls….
Regards
Thanks for confirming. At a glance, it looks like the theme’s slider is passing values to the Widgets Bundle slider that are unexpected. Both are making use of the same library, Slick.js. I’ll ask Alex here at SO to take a look. We’ll get back to you with a solution.
Very good, thank you :)
Hi, you can try the below version of the Widgets Bundle to see if it helps:
https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/so-widgets-bundle.1.49.3-beta.zip
The ZIP file once on your desktop can be installed from PluginsAdd NewUpload Plugin.
Hi,
Thanks, but is it a trial version? I see Beta….
I don't want to take any risk…
Hi. You’re welcome to wait for the next release. There is no additional risk testing the beta release above. The beta tag is a way to send an early release that will still update normally within WordPress. The testing that went into the above build and the testing that goes into a normal release is the same.
Hi Andrew,
It's perfect, everything works now. A big thank-you !
Super; glad the update helped.
All the best with your website. If questions arise in the future, please, don’t hesitate to get in touch via a new thread.
Cheers for now :)
Andrew
