Compatibility Issue with Rank Math Seo

Hi,

I have been using the PageBuilder for all my pages and noticed a few days ago that Rank Math SEO is not compatible with the PageBuilder anymore. My SEO score does not show up anymore in the blog post editing page and neither do the detailed boxes below the content in the editor. I am working with the Rank Math SEO Version 1.0.46 (the updated version is also not compatible), PageBuilder Version 2.11.2, and with WordPress 5.5.1. I did a full troubleshoot to make sure none of the other plugins impact the functionality of Rank Math SEO and it seems that the only time Rank Math SEO doesn’t work is when the PageBuilder plugin is activated.

I appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Bettina

    Hi Bettina

    Thanks for reaching out.

All seems normal on my end testing Page Builder and RankMath. When editing a page, if you click Screen Options top right, is RankMath enabled? If so, please, can you try adjusting your conflict test as follows. Temporarily switch to Twenty Twenty theme and temporarily deactivate all plugins except for RankMath and Page Builder. In that state, is the issue persisting?

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your response. Yes, RankMath is enabled in my Screen Options.

I did the additional Troubleshoot and found the following: when only RankMath and Page Builder are enabled, the SEO score and detail box underneath the post editor show up. When only RankMath and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle (version 1.17.6) are enabled, the SEO score and detail box show up.

However, I have all three enabled which I use to write my posts and set up my blog, RankMath disappears from the editor. I don’t have a score anymore and the detail box underneath the content doesn’t provide any information other than what the keyword is. I.e. all suggestions and SEO improvements are not showing up.

    Thanks,
    Bettina

    Thanks for the feedback.

At the moment, I’m unable to replicate the issue. Here are two screenshots showing RankMath with Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle in use https://imgur.com/a/2O67s4o.

Are there perhaps console errors in red text? Here is how to check https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis.

    Hi Andrew,

Yes I do get other errors which I copied below. I also noticed in your screenshot that you are using the new editor/view. I use the classic WordPress editor and not the new editor you are using. Could this potentially be the problem? When I first create a new post, the RankMath plugin boxes are all there. However, when I open a draft post, the SEO boxes all disappear.

This is the error I’m getting but I’m not sure it’s related to this issue:

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi, thanks for the update.

The second screenshot in my Imgur post is the Classic Editor https://imgur.com/a/2O67s4o.

The Rank Math meta box is displaying normally for me when testing in a post set to draft status.

It would be good to resolve the console errors regardless of this issue. How is the Cloudflare integration managed? Using a plugin? Alternatively, you could try temporarily deactivating Rocket Loader from within the Cloudflare interface to see if that resolves the JS errors.

    Hi Andrew,

I finally figured out why you are not able to replicate my error! When working on a blog post yesterday, everything worked perfectly until I added a link to embed a customized google map. So it seems that the google map code creates some sort of conflict which stops RankMath SEO and the SiteOrigin PageBuilder to work at the same time.

I found a work-around for this issue but wanted to let you know anyway in case others have the same issue.

    Thanks for your help,
    Bettina
