Comment bubble on blog page

I need some help with the following.

Is there any possibility to add a comment bubble next to the blog title, displaying the number of comments that have been posted on that blog?

I’m happy with any help I can get.

You’d probably have to use a comment count plugin and then move it with CSS.

    Hi Tim

This would unfortunately be a custom development task. You’d need to use a child theme. The function you’d need to add would be: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/comments_popup_link.

If you’d ever like to request a quote on this we recommend https://codeable.io/

    Sorry I don’t have more.

Thank you for the reply. I’ll start working on that then..

    Thanks for understanding.

We did once work through this process for Portal, it unfortunately wouldn’t be the same for Vantage. But as a rough reference it might be worth a look:

I made it work. Just changed all the things that said portal to vantage.

Not sure if it’s the correct way of doing this, but it works.

    Thank you for the help
