Hey,
I have created 3 column and sleeted the stretch layout so that they stretch across the whole page – https://therileyshot.com/?page_id=2278&preview=true.
however, the 2 column either side of the middle cut off the text I have written.
Does anyone know why?
ideally I trying to create a simple 3 column home page with 3 images stretched across each colum and then some text under it.
any help would be great
scott
Hi Scott
Thanks for posting.
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
Hi Andrew,
I have just published the page so you can see. its https://wp.me/P4CFKU-AK

Thanks. To remove the overflow hidden declaration added by your theme and allow your full width stretched container to be visible, try adding to CustomizeAdditional CSS:
Hi Sorry to ask a very basic question but where is customise? I see a the column i have created and can choose layout and custom css.
Sorry Andrew, I re read your message and sorted it. Thank you for your help.
Can i please ask one more thing.
Do you know how I can fill the top of the column with the picture? it seems to want to put a thumbnail pic , rather than i full size and then text under it?
cheers
Glad to hear you’re making progress.
If you’re asking how to remove the padding around each image so that the image fills the entire column width, you might try:
1. Edit the row concerned.
2. Click on the cell you’d like to edit, a new Cell Styles panel will appear on the right. Open the Layout section, set Padding to 0 for the top, right and left.
3. You’d then need to insert your image using a SiteOrigin Image Widget and keep your text in a separate Text or Editor widget. Edit the widget the text is in, click Layout on the right and add padding as required.
