Color sidebar widget + banner

Hello,
I’m using Vantage Premium and I love it. Everything is easy to customize and the support is great.
I just have 2 questions :
– How can I change the color of the widget in the sidebar (www.fengshui-et-sens.fr/blog/) ?
Title is black, link is blue and hover orange. I changed all colors in appearance/ personnalized but it changes nothing.
– I tried to put a banner in the sidebar and in the footer with text widget and Visual Editor but no image appears on my website ?
(Sorry for english, I’m french)
Julie

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Julie

    Thanks for your support. Your English is 100%.

    There is a small shortcoming in the link color options in the Customizer. To cover all links sitewide please insert the following under Appearance > Custom CSS and change my colors to yours.

    /* Links */

    #main a { color: #dd3333; }
    #main a:hover { color: #2b1100; }

    If you’re finding the sidebar titles aren’t changing you could try the following under Appearance > Custom CSS:

    /* Sidebar Widget Titles */

    #secondary .widget .widget-title {
    color: #3b3b3b;
    }

    So to confirm, you tried to add an image to the sidebar and footer widget areas using the Visual Editor widget (http://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/) and it didn’t work? Does that widget still show when you visit Appearance > Widgets? Is the image showing in the widget?

    Thanks

    Hi Andrews,

    Thanks for your fast answer. Widget in the sidebar are now in my colors :-)

    I would like to add an image with a link behind. I think its called an HTML link or a banner.
    (). This “banner” works on several wp site since a long time and not on mine.

    I tried tu put this link with the widget text. It didn’t work.
    So I tried with Visual Editor with the link written on the HTML part, on the Visual part and both. I just see the link in the widget et not the image.

    Widget are present when I visit Appearance – Widgets and also when I visit Appearance – Customize – Widget.
    They are not in the deactivated widget area.

    I hope I gave you all the informations you need.

    Thanks,

    Julie

    Hi, I Work Here

    Glad to hear you’re making progress.

    If you insert your image with the Visual Editor widget you can then add a link via the usual Add Media interface. When inserting the image look at ATTACHMENT DISPLAY SETTINGS in the right column at the bottom. Select Custom URL. Before saving click over to the HTML view and make a copy of the image src url. You might want to check if that’s accessible when you load it into a new tab.

    Andrew,

    After doing all you said, I had to change the link behind the picture to point to the other site.
    It works very well as I want :-)

    Thank you very much Andrew,

    Julie

    Hello,

    I did what Andrew adviced me and it works well. I have my color on the title of the sidebar.
    But, it also change article tittle color. It’s now the same colors of the sidebar.
    How can I change the color of the article tittle and have it different from the sidebar tittle color ?

    Julie
