Collapse Alignment

I am working on a site that has multiple sections with 3-4 CTA text/buttons. I have built them with Page Builder, using a row (divided into 3 or 4 columns) for the base, and then the text and buttons placed in their respective blocks. I am having an issue with the alignment when I collapse into a smaller width. It has the fluid responsiveness for the text, but as the text gets longer in some columns, the CTA buttons get pushed down and out of alignment with the other CTA buttons. I can’t put them in a separate row, because then the buttons wouldn’t be grouped with their coordinating text blocks.

I don’t have a link that I can share, because the website I am working on is classified at this point. But has anyone had this same issue and found a solution?

    Hi Rachel,

I’d like to help you with this issue. Unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of the support we’re able to offer on our free forums. There is a fair amount of custom work involved.

We do offer this level of support to our premium users, so if you’d like to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then I can help you over email support.

If you’d prefer not to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then you can hire a WordPress developer from Codeable. They’ll charge you an hourly rate for any work done.

I actually am a premium user. I’m logged into my account, so I’m not sure why it’s showing me as a free user. I figured out a solution:

I added a new row of buttons below the previously existing row of text + buttons. I marked the buttons in the original row to only show on small screens (below 640px). Then I marked the new row buttons to only show on screen sizes above 640px. That way the buttons stay aligned while collapsing, but they disappear on mobile. The new buttons then appear under their correct paragraphs (since they are in the same row as them.)

The customization of screen sizes can be found while editing a widget in live editor. Go to Attributes > Visibility – By screen size.

I hope this helps anyone else trying to find a solution to this problem!

    Hi Rachel,

I’m glad you were able to resolve this issue. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to be of assistance.

For reference, what plugin are you using that adds the visibility drop down? Widgets for SiteOrigin (feature link)?
