    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, really sorry to hear about the hassle. I’m sure we can get things sorted.

Do you have a url we can look at?

Are you able to access your WordPress admin, I’m not quite following that part of your thread.

    Hi, I Work Here

Just went over your email now, apologies for the delay there.

Here is a great post on the logged out error:
    http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-wordpress-keeps-logging-out-problem/

If you are able to briefly access WordPress then this tutorial would be the place to start.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi @oldasdirtuser

Did you by any chance install any plugins when this happened? Your best bet would be to create a backup of your wp-content/plugins/ folder via FTP. Then delete everything in this folder. This should bring your site back to life and let you reaccess your admin.

After you’ve done this, re-upload all your plugins and activate them one by one to try figure out which one is causing the issue.

    Hi, I Work Here

Below is a tutorial to help with de-activating plugins as Greg as suggested.

    http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-wp-admin/

no, I get to a login page…the same old user and pw WP login that has always been. once i “sign in” it simply takes me to the site, just as before. the site unresponsive and totally not a logged in admin accessible one. in reality, i don’t or can’t get logged in.

due to stalking incident, i would vastly prefer not to give such personal info as url/site here. i have sent it in a response to payment and activation code. i can send it privately again if that would be beneficial. i do appreciate the aid, and hope the thread can aid others in similar dilemna.

I was attaching icons per the icon page option. not running a plugin. however a plugin could have been automatically running as i know some are “scheduled”

ok, i am not absolute 0 tech minded person, i am all for trying. i do have backups Eghads if worse comes worse but i have no clue how to get from point a to b. i have noted each link you have suggested. and will pour over them in earnest.

i loved snapshot premium and moved to vantage premium for the main attribute of mobile responsiveness. lol the totally one thing i don’t have now. ah – the irony.

ok, is all this ftp is this at my host service, right? my super apologies for being a forum thorn in your sides….

    Andrew and Greg,
I simply had to return and offer up a huge thank you!

I ventured into the cpanel (scary!!) and followed the guidelines of deactivating the plugin folder as soon as that happened the refreshed url of my page showed up with the full visual of being logged into wp dashboard.
    imagine that !

Continuing with the activate … and deactivate there were 4 plugins who weren’t playing nicely with the team. eww Image compression, (?) ThinOut Revisions(?) and Plano Forms(?) Favicon(?)

The possibilities of combinations are too numerous to apply, but within several hours work, these were my mediate findings.

Granted on their own they may have been fine, but with others i have installed and feel are more relevant to needs i had to let them go. Instead i will be looking to adding this info via code, or using off site source to generate needs rather than volatile plugins.

After your aid, i am backup and ready to begin testing…!!!!
    ;)

    Hi, I Work Here

That’s fantastic news. Nicely done! As you mentioned, if you don’t have an FTP client setup then you can do, as you did, and login to cPanel and use the file manager to do exactly the same task.

    Ok so onto replacements:

    Favicon: https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-favicon/Form plugins:

    Forms:
    Contact Form 7: https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/
    Ninja Forms: https://ninjaforms.com/
    Gravity Forms (Premium): http://www.gravityforms.com/

The other two I’m not sure, you might need to look around if those are important for your site.

    BIG ^^^^High^^^^5 !!!! For references

    update:
opted for favicon …no issues (great).
opting to run images for lossly compression “offsite” before uploaded to wp. (no plugin)
opting to keep fewer plugins and selecting emailmeform.com

    Can’t say thank you enough.
We can consider this thread (plea, cry, lament) closed :)

    Hi, I Work Here

Speaking of keeping email forms offsite, http://www.jotform.com/ is also pretty decent. They’ve been around for a long time.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad to hear you’ve been making progress.
