Code is disappearing

5 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 5 years ago

Hi. My code is disappearing on SiteOrigin Editor Widgets for some reason.
You see them in the text section. When you go to the Visual Section they disappear.
Doesn’t happened all the time. No sure why.

    Hi Devin

    Thanks for reaching out.

Is there a specific snippet of code that this happens with?

Does the Custom HTML perhaps solve the issue? Thanks.

    Hi.
I switched the code from the SiteOrigin Editor to the Custom HTML Widget.
It does not disappear in this widget. Of course it doesn’t have the Visual section on it.
But it does seem to be the type of code it is.
For Instance, This code works fine. You can go back & forth no problem:
    Visit Our Other Locations

However, if you delete that code & put in this code. As soon as you go to Visual it disappears.

Not sure if I can put code in.
    This one works

    <h2 style="text-align: center;">Visit Our Other Locations</h2>

    This one doesn’t

Super, thanks for the info. This sounds similar https://wordpress.org/support/topic/text-editor-removing-a-tag/.

Would the following impact your design?

    <a id="dox_hover_pv" class="dox_hover_pv" href="https://www.funpuertovallarta.com"> </a>

If it will, I’m sure we can think of alternative solutions.

Ahh, my non-breaking space didn’t print. I’m referring to the first idea offered in the forum topic linked to in my previous reply. Thanks :)

    Non-breaking space worked.
    Thanks for the help.
