Circle Icon Widgets: How to force link to open in new window?

I have found within the settings in wordpress how to make links open in a new window by default. However, it does not appear that this affects the circle widget links that are native to Vantage. I have not been able to find any way to make the links open in anything other than the same window. Is there a way to do this that I am missing?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi

Our new Features Widget does allow you to open links in a new window – http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-features-widget/ it just doesn’t link the icon at this point, it will soon though. Perhaps run this new widget for the mean time.

    Hi, I Work Here

For sure, I expect we’ll push an update to this widget soon to add the option to link the icon, it should be complete then.

Do you have any plans to allow for icon position (left, right) and size (small, large) like there currently is for the circle icon widget?

    Thanks!

    Hi Andrew,

When can we expect the release where this is fixed? I’m waiting for it too!

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi Rob

If you install our Widget Bundle plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/ you’ll find a widget in there called the Features Widget. It’s an augmented Circle Icon widget. New window/tab is available in that widget. I’m unfortunately not sure when this will be added to the Circle Icon widget so the new Features widget would be the way to go for now.

I have installed the bundle and enabled the bit that offers the New Window option – but there still isn’t a new window option when I edit the circle buttons on the homepage of http://www.legaplanninggroup.com

Help! What am I missing please>

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi Steve

Once you’ve installed the Widget Bundle you’ll need to then use the Features Widget rather than the Circle Icon widget, in that widget is an option:

Open More URL in New Window

Please open a new support thread for further help.

      Thanks
