I would like to redirect the “more” URL inside the circle icon to open in a new tab. Got code for that? The standard

Hi
Please give our new Features Widget a try: http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-features-widget/. It’s a more versatile version of the Circle Icon widget.
Hope that helps.
Andrew,
Thanks for the reply. The Widget will allow you to redirect to a new tab. But… on the Circle Icon Widget you can Link title and ICON to “More URL” I need to do that with my Icon. Is that available in this Widget?
Not sure to be honest, this widget is brand new so I haven’t tested it yet. I’ll take a look now.
You can link the title but not the icon, I’ll raise this shortly. We’ll push an update with that as an addition as soon as there is a development gap.
Okey Dokey – I await the update with baited breath…
For sure. You’ll see the update at Dashboard > Updates once it’s pushed.
Any progress or an ETA on this update?
Hi there Patrick
This is working in my development version, so it’ll be available in the next update after we’ve had some time to test. Just a note, we’ve moved all our widgets into a single plugin. So you can access all our tasty widgets from one place.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/
If you install the Widgets Bundle, it should automatically deactivate the old stand alone version of the Features Widget.
Greg,
Just want to say that your Vantage Theme and Site Builder plug-in are really great. I’ve incorporated them into 8 sites so far. Waiting for this current update to really add a nice feature to my sites.
Patrick
That’s very awesome to hear! Hopefully all the widgets we’ll be pushing out over the coming months make the combo even more useful.
Hi Patrick
Just a quick note that the Features widget in the new Bundle does have the option:
“Open More URL in New Window”
Hope that helps.
Andrew,
I have the features plugin installed and yes it does send the “More URL” link to a new tab, but I need to make the graphic in the circle a link also.
That’s why I’m waiting for Greg’s update.
Thanks
Ahh I remember now. We’ll hopefully see that live out in the world soon. Thanks for following-up.
Any ETA as to when Greg will be moving the updated plugin out of “Test” and into prodution? Got a website that’s waiting to be full-featured with this addition of this one plugin. Thanks and sorry if I seem impatient. There are clients gnawing my legs…
The update went live earlier today :) you should see version 1.0.3 in your updates.
Thank you!!!
Greg – would that be an update to the standalone features widget or the bundle?
Hi Greg,
I uploaded the bundled plugin 1.0.3 and installed it. When I open the “Site Origins Widgets” settings all I have is the page title and the rest is blank. I turned off all the other plugins but that didn’t work. Any suggestions?
Hi Patrick
This is an issue I’ve come across a couple times since I’ve launched the widget bundle. So far, both other users were using a Windows IIS server. Do you happen to know what kind of server you’re using?
Would you mind testing my development version? I’ve tried some fixes, but I have nowhere to test if this actually fixes the issue. You’ll need to delete the current version of the widgets bundle, then install this new version.

If it works, I’ll push the update.
Greg,
You are correct. I’m using an IIS Windows server and I’d be happy to test the development version. I’ll let you know how it works.
Patrick
Greg,
The IIS bundle works perfectly. Now I have another challenge. In my site I have added links to the menu that direct to the same urls as the icons below the slider. I also need them to open into a new tab . I’m using vantage premium. Is there a way to redirect the links in the menu to new tabs?
Patrick
P.S. When the plugins page notifies me that there is an update to the features bundle, should I ignore it for now until the .trunk bundle is out of beta?
Hi Patrick
The 1.0.4 update of the features widget includes the fixes from the trunk version I sent you, so you can feel free to update. And thanks, I really appreciate the testing!
And this guide should help you with your menu question – http://www.inqbation.com/how-to-add-a-target-_blank-on-a-wordpress-menu-item/
Greg,
You are very welcome. And thanks for the link – my menus are now working great. Very cool. Take a look at a couple of the websites I designed with Vantage Premium. – fbc.obm.biz and northbayfitness.com.
Patrick
Sorry, but I don’t find the so features widget, where is or witch is the update of that?
Hi Carlos
The SO Features Widget is a part of the SiteOrigin Widget Bundle plugin, you can download that here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/.
Thank you.
Another question, if I want make this?
Icon + Text-a-side
I don’t see more option than:
Icon
+
Text-bottom
Hi Carlos
In the Circle Icon widget, Icon Position set to left would produce text to the right of the icon.
Thanks!!!
For sure!
Hi there,
Has the circle icon issue been resolved as of yet? I would like to open a new window from the “More URL”
This feature is not there at present.
Cheers,
Andrew
Andrew,
Yes, It’s all working now with the new features widget plugin.
See moneymovers.com and click on the various circle icons.
Thanks
Ok great, is there any way to place the logo to the left of the text rather than on top?
Do you mean the text under the various buttons?
Yes thats correct. If you view my site http://www.whatsnextforme.co.uk/services you will see what I am looking for.
Thanks pecraig. Andrew at the moment there is unfortunately a split. The Circle Icon widget allows Icon Position to be set, that in turns sets the text position. The Features Widget use the new tab/page option but doesn’t yet have the Icon Position setting. It’ll hopefully be added soon. I don’t yet have a timeline.
