Choose image size “Large” for background image

8 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 8 years ago

When I select an image as background for a row, the image used is the original file. So it might be a 5000 x 2500 pixels image of 17MB. How do I change this to for instance the custom WordPress file size “Large”?

I am not talking about a CSS trick to make the image appear smaller, it is really the file itself that should be changed to speed up (or at least not slow down :-) the page.

    Hi Redduck,

Currently, row/widget background images are the full size as they currently don’t support image sizes. To get around this you can scale or crop the image.

I’ve marked this thread as a feature request. We often look through these threads to get ideas for what to add in our future updates. Hopefully, we’ll be able to add this in a future update.
