Child theme location for Vantage Premium

I am a little confused as to where the child theme folder should be placed. Do I place it in the same folder as the old Vantage theme and the index.php file or do I place it in the vantage Premium folder which contains all the .css and .php files currently being used?

    Hi Alan

    Ideally you should only have one vantage folder in wp-content/themes/. Your child theme folder should also be placed in the themes folder:

    /wp-content/themes/

    A child theme is a theme unto itself so it needs to be positioned in the same location as other themes in your WP installation.
