Checkout Page show order totals not aligned or right justified

Using Unwind theme, I have noticed when in the Checkout page, the subtotal, tax and shipping charges are not aligned with each other. The amounts all show up zigzag. For example:

CHECKOUT PAGE

Your order
PRODUCT SUBTOTAL
Script Tee – Charcoal, 2XL × 1 $22.49
Subtotal $22.49
Shipping
Standard: $4.00
Tax $2.12
Total $28.61

The first and last amounts are aligned correctly. Everything in between is not right justified.

Is there some setting I need to correct?

    Hi Stella

    Thanks for reaching out.

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

    Hi
I just applied the latest Unwind update and see the changes to the cart. Now the item amount, subtotal and total amounts line up as right justified. This looks proper and good. However, shipping and tax are off to the left. I have a new screenshot of the checkout page. See screenshot below.

Can we have the shipping & tax amounts (and other amounts in case I am missing other possibilities) line up with the rest of the order totals?

    Thank you

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, thanks for the feedback, here is an update you can try.

    https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/siteorigin-unwind.1.6.6-beta.zip

Once the ZIP file is on your desktop, switch to any other theme, delete Unwind and then install the ZIP file from AppearanceThemesAdd NewUpload ThemeActivate.

OK, beta theme applied. Checkout page amounts now all line up right justified, properly.

After a quick check, the only initial drawback is that it wiped out my Footer. All assigned widgets to the footer were removed.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for testing. That’s unusual. You can try going to AppearanceWidgets, your footer widgets might be in the Inactive Widgets area at the bottom of the page.

    Hi
Nothing in the inactive Widgets section.

FYI, I am using the Unwind Child theme (the starter Unwind child theme by SiteOrigin) and I switched to Twenty Twenty theme, activated it, then deleted Unwind, installed new beta Unwind, then activated Unwind Child. Would anything in that sequence cause the footer settings to be removed?

Can I continue to use this beta, or wait for an official release?

    Thank you!

    Hi, I Work Here

As far as I’m aware, that sequence shouldn’t cause the loss of widgets. If you switch back to the parent theme, are your widgets available in the Footer widget area or perhaps in the Inactive Widgets area?

You can continue using the beta without issue.

I restored a full backup, and performed the steps again. Only this time I used SiteOrigin’s North theme as the temporary theme (not wordpress TwentyTwenty), deleted old Unwind, installed beta Unwind, activated Unwind Child. Footer widgets stayed in place and it looks good.

I noticed North theme also has the tax & shipping amounts off to the left and not right justified with the rest of the checkout totals. So are these supposed to be that way, or am I crazy to ask this request?

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the update. I’m glad to hear you’ve resolved the footer widgets issue.

Thanks for the North feedback, I’ve logged the issue https://github.com/siteorigin/siteorigin-north/issues/392.
