Changing content width of blog posts

8 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 8 years ago

Hello, I want to change the content width of only the blog posts. How would I go about doing this? I don’t want to use the boxed layout, I want the background and menu to be full width, but the text, images, etc. to be limited in width (and it would be nice to set different widths for desktop and mobile). I want to achieve fewer characters per line (site is sitting at 115 CPL at the moment)

I have previously tried:

#content {
width: ___px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}

However, this changes the content for all pages.

Thank you for the help!

    Hi TwistyWoofier,

    I’d like to help you with this, but unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of the support we’re able to offer on our free forums.

    We do offer this level of support to our premium users, so if you’d like to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then I can help you over email support.

    If you’d prefer not to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then you can hire a WordPress developer from Codeable. They’ll charge you an hourly rate for any work done.
