Changing colour of footer widget text for post titles?

Hi, hopefully the heading says it all. Where can I set the font colour for the Recent Posts widget in the footer please? My existing site pack has grey text on a black background. I’d like to make it white to make it more readable. There appears to be a setting in the Design panel, but the font colour remains the same. This setting seems to work for the other footer widgets like Navigation and Tag Cloud, but not for Recent Posts.
I’m using the SiteOrigin North theme with the Consultant pack

    Please, try checking AppearanceCustom CSS. There you can locate:

    #colophon .widget-area .widget_recent_entries ul li a {
  color: #595959;
}
