Change widget-title to other H1 or H2, etc…

For SEO purposes we want to change the widget-title to something else than H3. We want to add a drop-down menu to select the Header. I understand we can use the editor itself to change the font format and leave the title blank, but that’s not something I want to impose on our customers. I’d rather not change the plugin files either, that’s bound to go wrong with future updates.

Is there any hook we can use to change the header?
