Change color on Origami Paper theme?

I am trying to change to white part here into some other color, or use a tiled background. The part circled by red.

I have tried changing every color value in the wordpress editor. I have searched and tried manually adding code to change it but nothing seems to do it? Is this possible? Thank you.

    Hi TripleTT,

    You can change this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Add (and adjust) the following CSS:

    #page-container {
    background: #0f0;
}

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
