Centre align footer widget

Hi

I have the ‘Easy Social’ widget in my footer, with no other widget, of the Vantage theme and I have been unable to centre it in the middle of the footer. I have tried a few css codes, but without success and it is still aligned to the left.

Is it possible to move it to the middle?

Thanks

    Hi Iain

    The footer splits itself into columns as you add widgets, but they do start left aligned.

    Please send me a link and I’ll see if I can centre it for you.

    Thanks Andrew – I’m in the process of building the site, so it isn’t live at the moment. Is there any other way of fixing it?

    Many thanks

    Are you working locally or is the site just viewable only to logged in users? If it’s the latter then send me a set of temporary login details to [email protected]. It really is easier if I can see what’s going on.

    Ok – I’ve done that and emailed the details to you

    Thanks

    Sorted. For reference:

    The Custom CSS to centre align Easy Social Icon widget in the Vantage footer is:

    /* Footer Social Plugin */
    table.cnss-social-icon { margin-right: auto !important; margin-left: auto !important; }

    Hello,

    What is the general method to do this with any widget in the footer ?
    I am trying to center the “AccessPress Social Icons” widget, but it would be nice to have a general procedure.

    Thank you !

    Hi there,

    First I have to say that I’m enjoying your plugins a lot! I’m now building a widget footer by using the SiteOrigin Features widget. It works fin see http://www.triode.nl. Unfortunatly I can’t align to widget in the centre. I tryed some different .CSS codes but nothing seems to help. How can help me with this?

    Btw. I wasn’t able to make a new thread.

      Hi Giel

      Glad to hear you’ve been enjoying our plugins. Please, try in a Custom CSS area or plugin OR style.css of a child theme:

      /* Footer */
      #footer .sow-features-list .sow-features-feature {
      	float: none;
      	margin: 0 auto;
      }

      Could you perhaps let me know what happened when you tried to create a thread?

      Thanks :)

    That’s a fast answer! Thx. I’m going to try this later. The link to a new thread worked now :).

    Andrew, can you help me one more time? I also want to align in the middle in different situations. For exemple on this page: http://triode.nl/2013/risico/

    Can you give the code for that? I really should start with .css :)

    • Andrew Misplon Staff 10 years, 6 months ago

      Sure. Would you mind opening a new thread for us? Just post the link here once it’s open and I’ll jump in.

      Thanks
