Center align text

I have been trying to use some SiteOrigin Features circles and I’m having a problem with them not being aligned. The old “circle icons” widgets are aligned correctly, but the Features seem left-aligned. I’ve tried padding the left but it makes the text and the circles no-longer aligned with each other. I’ve also tried some of the fixes on this forum (e.g. custom CSS) to no avail. Any help you can provide would be great!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Arptttt,

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

Hi Alex, I’ve tried to post the url about 8 times and my comment is not appearing, the form is just ignoring my post. If you google: astro3 galaxy theory, then it should be the first result.

and that worked if I didn’t use the full url! Weird. Anyway, it’s the second row of icons on the homepage we are having issues with, they use the new SiteOrigin Features and refuse to be aligned centrally. I can shift the whole row across by some number of pixels but then the text becomes misaligned. Thanks for having a look!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Arptttt,

That’s odd. Not too sure why your URL was rejected – I don’t see any issues with the url. It’s astro3.sci.hokudai.ac.jp/GALAXY-THEORY/, right?

I’m not too sure why the features aren’t full width, but you should be able to avoid this by adding all of the features to a single feature widget. In other words, please remove the other two SiteOrigin Feature widgets in favor of a single SiteOrigin Feature widget.

Would it be possible for you to send me an export for the linked page? To do this please open up the relevant page page in the editor and click the Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io. This will hopefully allow me to work out why the feature widgets are so small when only a single feature is present for you.

Hi Alex, thanks for the reply. Yup that is the right site. I can’t post anything from the layout right now as it can only be accessed on site, I’ll do so tomorrow.

Anyway, I think I didn’t explain clearly. The first row of circles is built from your old “circle-icon-widget” that I have tried to replace with the “SiteOrigins Features” widget below that apparently has superseded it, mostly because some of the “circles” functions broke in an update (lost some icon images etc.). So in an ideal world I would remove the first row, replacing it with the second (hence why they are named the same!). BUT I haven’t done so yet as the new SiteOrigins Features on the lower row refuse to be centrally aligned, and instead appear left-aligned. I’ve tried all sorts of settings, shifting margins, making entire new versions of the homepage from scratch, and fiddling with the css to no avail.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Arptttt,

the “SiteOrigins Features” widget below that apparently has superseded it

    That’s correct.

Can you please try adding all of the features to a single SiteOrigin Feature widget? I know that may sound odd but the SiteORigin Feature widget has a massive over Circle Icon widgets in that it allows you to add many features to a single SiteOrigin Features widget. In other words, instead of:

    You can do this:

You can do this by opening the feature widget and clicking the Add Button.

Regardless, with your current setup. Please open each SiteOrigin Features widget and change the Features per row setting to 1 and then save. How does that look?

Hi Alex, both of these fixed my problem, thanks very much for your help!
