By JoeLee, 8 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 8 years ago.

Hi
I m using North theme plus woocommerce

But i found a few issue for cart button at the right hand side corner.
1. It seems no cancel button to remove the added item at cart button at the right hand side corner OR cart page
2. after clicking view cart or checkout button , it will direct to the respective page but the cart button at the right hand side corner disappear
3. At the cart page, it shows nothing even if i have added some items to the cart

Thanks
Lee

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lee,

    1. There isn’t a remove button in the shopping cart in the header at this time – although that’s a good idea so I’ve logged it as a feature. There definitely should be one on the cart page however.

    2. That’s by design. We didn’t feel it was a good idea to continue showing on those pages as it might lead to the user mistakenly clicking away from the cart or checkout page (which is obviously undesired and will hurt conversions). Basically, there’s little reason for it to be there as the information displayed in the header cart is already visible elsewhere.

    3. This is odd. The cart page is working for me without issue. Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lee,

    2. Yes.

3, 4. Hm. This is really weird. I’ve never seen this before so I suspect this might be a plugin conflict issue. Before proceeding please be sure that your plugins and theme is up to date and that each referenced WooCommerce page has the correct WooCommerce shortcodes present.

Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

Here’s a basic child theme setup for you. :)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi JoeLee,

They should definitely be appearing. To clarify, are you adding them to the Main Sidebar (found at WP Admin > Appearance > Widgets)? If so, would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lee,

I’m unable to spot why the sidebar is not appearing correctly. They definitely should be as I’m having a hard time trying to get them not to display. Hm. Could you please reinstall SiteOrigin North? To do this please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceThemes and change to a different theme. Then delete North and then click Add New button at the top of the themes page. Then please find and install SiteOrigin North. Please note your data will be 100% safe.

if this doesn’t fix the issue, Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
