Hi there –
Was hoping someone could help me out with something. I want to use the Site Origin Carousel widget on my homepage, and I want it to display all posts in a few different categories (I figured out the taxonomies), but at the beginning of the Carousel, at all times, I want a post I’ve designated as Sticky to stick there and show up first. I tried using the Sticky feature and option in the Carousel itself, but none of the options (“Ignore,” “Exclude,” “Default,” or “Include”) properly return the post at the beginning every time.
Is this possible, or am I missing something?
Thanks!
Adam
Hi Adam,
I can’t seem to replicate this. Would it be possible for you to send me an export for your post carousel? To do this open up the page with the widget and click layout in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
Sure thing! At the very bottom of this page (http://www.lgbtinthesouth.com/) I would love to be able to make the post that currently appears second (“See All News & Blog Posts”) forever appear first, on the far left, even after new blog posts are published.
Here’s the layout: https://tknk.io/5rAk
Thank you!
Hi Adam,
Ah. I see what’s going on. WordPress includes sticky functionality by default which is what the sticky setting is setup for – it’s not setup to account for a dedicated category. To clarify, you can set a post as sticky by opening the post and then click Edit next to the visibility options in the publish box. Tick Stick this post to the front page and then save.
