Can’t Switch to a New Slider

So this one has me scratching my head. I am using Vantage and building a website for my girlfriend’s business. Originally I used the slider to display on static image at the top of the page under the menu. Since then I decided to buy the pro version of the slider plugin and spent some time building a “Layered Slider” that I would now like to use on the page.

I selected the new slider under “Theme Settings” and it won’t switch and I am not sure where else to look to accomplish this. I have already cleared my cache incase that was the issue but it is still not working.. Thoughts?

Now it gets weirder.. I have selected “none” for default slider and it still shows up..

    Hmmmm

Do I have to delete one slider before I can use another one. I was under the impression that I could have multiple sliders created. Please let me know your thoughts on the matter and what might be causing this issues. Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Bill

Sorry to hear about the hassle.

You can create as many sliders as required under Meta Slider. They all should show up under Appearance > Theme Settings > Home in the drop down menu.

Due to features being added as the theme grew there is a possibility for a settings clash. Head to Pages > Home and check the right column there. You’ll find a page Meta Slider box there. Check what that is set to.

Andrew.. You continue to provide all of the correct answers and what you prescribed above worked perfect. I had totally forgotten that there was a slider option in that column. I have been in touch with Dave Shaw from Meta Slider and have thanked him for his assistance but also suggested that you guys and him and/or his team work to better integrate this feature so it is not quirky..

Love both of the products and I am looking forward to using your themes and his product in the future. Thank you for your help.

    Hi, I Work Here

Super, glad to hear you made progress there.

For sure, this cross over of settings isn’t ideal. We’ll look into it for the next Vantage update. Thanks for hanging in there with us and for your support.

We’re excited to launch Page Builder 2.0 later this month: Post: Page Builder 2 Changes Everything. Something to keep an eye out for.
