Hi,
We’re using Page Builder by SiteOrigin Version 2.4.25
Our site is on https, and when we edit a post, and edit an image widget, the image always saves with a http, instead of https.
This means when we view the post on the front end, the browser reports the page has mixed content, as the image is loading over http.
If we use Better Search Replace, and search for all http://www.example.com and replace with https://www.example.com, nothing is found in any of the db tables to replace.
Help appreciated.
Steve
Hi Steve,
The SiteOrigin Image widget doesn’t actually store URLs and instead store image ids. As such, this issue is likely as a result of the general WordPress URL. Plase navigate to WP AdminSettingsGeneral and ensure the URLs are set to refernece https rathe than http.
Thanks Alex.
The WP Admin > Settings > General URLs are definitely set to HTTPS, rather than HTTP.
Hi Insight,
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at one of your SiteOrigin Image widgets set to HTTP so I can inspect the results?
Sure Alex: https://www.batteryminerals.com/sustainability/risk-management-policy/
Hi Insight,
Okay so the issue here appears to be that you’re searching for http://www.batteryminerals.com, when the image URLs are set to http://batteryminerals.com. Can you please do a search and replace for the non-www version of your domain?
Hi Alex,
You’re the man, you’re right, it was a non-www resource.
Thank you.
Okay to close the ticket.
Cheers,
Steve
