Hello, I am having difficulty removing the slider from my homepage.
I created a page called “home” and set it as the static page for my homepage and used the “homepage template”
I then went into customize and went to the slider settings and changed the settings to display “none”
Unfortunately, this did not do anything and the slider is still there.
Is there another way to remove the slider?
I don’t have the meta slider plugin installed.
Hello, I found the solution, I found a setting in the page options where I was able to change the slider to display none
someone please elaborate on what page options allowed you to remove the slider?
I am going insane trying to figure out how!
This does not remove it!
Page: Home Page Slider If you’d like to remove it, navigate to AppearanceCustomizeTheme SettingsHome where you’ll find the Home Page Slider setting. Changing it from Demo Slider to None will remove the slider.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!
P.S. I have premium, but I have no idea (I forgot) how to get premium support.
Thanks
This is really irritating!
I had a few hours tonight to make some changes to homepage, but just wasted most of it trying to unsuccessfully remove the meta slider!
Why in the world I can change it to default, stretch it or not, but selecting “”None”” in the Customizing ▸ Theme Settings
Home – Home Page Slider DOES NOT WORK.
WHY?!?! WHY O WHY IS IT IGNORING MY WISH TO “None” Home Page Slider
Just wasted entire evening on this one little stupid issue
THE FOLLOWING DOES NOT WORK!
Page: Vantage Home Page Slider
By default a demo slider will be active upon installation. To deactivate this Demo Slider, navigate to Appearance > Theme Settings > Home. Next to the title “Home Page Slider” select “None” from the drop down menu.
Why does it have so difficult to figure out how to remove slier?
Okay,
I figured it out on my own.
I have to change the home page to default edit to edit page, then on the middle right there the Page Meta Slider
Display Page Meta Slider.
Selecting this to none removes it.
Only took me 3 hours to figure it out.
Can you PLEASE update the information or fix the glitch?!?!
Thank you Valem.
I spent an hour on this prior to finding your post but you have saved me at least two by posting the solution. That was so counter intuitive! I’ll have to get rid of that ugly gap at the top but this looks like a minor css task.

UPDATE ON UGLY GAP
If you are replacing the slider with something else in home page / page builder mode and you’re left with an ugly gap after finally finding Valems post above then to get rid of it then:
Return to page/home-page – regular edit
Look on the right
Uncheck this option – “Include the margin below the masthead (top area) of your site.
