For about one to two weeks, I have the problem that I cannot edit posts anymore.
I make changes on posts in the backend. The preview in the backend (preview in Site Origin editor) shows the changes. But they don’t show in the frontend. Sometimes, after saving furiously, it works. It seems that deleting is easier than adding words, links etc.
Pages, however, I can edit without problems.
After deactivating several plugins it seems that Page Builder is causing the problem. As it is the basis of my whole page I cannot deactivate it without destroying the website. De facto, I can’t write posts at the moment.
I don’t know if it has to do with the issue: After saving a post WP always notifies me that “The backup of this post in your browser is different from the version below”. If I restore the backup it’s usually an older version than the last version I had saved.
Hi Kathrin,
Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? (this will 100% confirm if we’re at fault) You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
