hi

i can not create any button inside siteorigin. after adding the below code to html or rich text plugin i update but is not saved.

i tried to disable wordfence but the problem is not there. however i am able to save/update the siteorigin when i write the below code

the problem is when onclick=”window.location.href = ‘https://w3docs.com’ is added.

the buttons works very fine outside the siteorigin editor.i also tried button plugin of siteorign. even that is not saved after i hit update. it returns empty after i check

thank you

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ad

    Thanks for reaching out.

Have you tried the Custom HTML widget? That should allow for JavaScript to be inserted.

yes i tried. not working. not being saved.

Updating finishes but when i refresh it is blank.

all i want to add is a simple code as below. a button with link in it.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks for the update.

I’m able to save the following in a Custom HTML widget successfully:

    <button onclick="window.location.href = 'https://w3docs.com';">Click Here</button>

If your code is the same as the above and the steps seen in my screenshots above are the same as yours, try running a plugin conflict test. Temporarily deactivate all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin and then readd the code and retest the issue, check to see if the problem is resolved.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the update. Please, create a test page, repeat the issue, take a screenshot of the widget you’re using, the contents of the widget and then send us a link to a test page where we can view the source code to see what’s being printed. Upload the screenshots to imgur.com, send us the link and the link to the page here and we’ll take a look.
