Cant change to custom template file, goes to default after saving home page

I made a template for Flexible posts widget. When I put it in page builder, I can find a template filename in a widget, and I change it to custom. But after I save home page, the setup goes back to the default. Can you help me with that?

    Thanks for reaching out.

    If Flexible Posts Widget is working with your template in a regular widget area then it sounds like this might be a case of a plugin compatibility issue. You could perhaps send the developer our help document here:

    The change would unfortunately need to come from their side.
