Cannot update pages anymore after disabling Visual Editor

Notice: This thread is over two years old; the information may be outdated. Please consider creating a new thread if you require free support. If you have an active SiteOrigin Premium license, you can email our premium support desk at [email protected].

I am using WordPress 4.8.2 with your Vantage-theme and Page Builder.
Because of unwanted conversion of to < and > in the Text Editor, I disabled the Visual Editor and that helped (found this on the internet). But since I did that I cannot update my pages anymore!
Is this a known issue??

I deactivated all non-SiteOrigin Plugins, including TinyMCE Advanced and I cleared my browsers cache.

When I go to Users Profile an I ‘Disable the visual editor when writing’, then updating pages does not work.
When I uncheck (so enabling the visual editor), then updating pages goes fine.

    Hi Peter,

Unfortunately, this is a known issue and it’s currently unavoidable. I would recommend adding your text through the Custom HTML widget rather than the text widget as it’ll avoid this issue and the general formatting issue with Visual Editors in WordPress.

Thank you for your reply, Alex.

I did some pages with the PHP-code widget and this is working fine.
One question: Can I change the font of this widget, because it is in proportional font which is quite unusual for HTML and PHP code.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Peter,

You’ll need to use CSS to do this. Unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of the support we’re able to offer on our free forums. You can do something like without manually writing the CSS by using the Visual Editor of SiteOrigin CSS.

We do offer this level of support to our premium users, so if you’d like to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then I can help you over email support.

If you’d prefer not to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then you can hire a WordPress developer from Codeable. They’ll charge you an hourly rate for any work done.

Thank you for your reply, Alex.

I was talking about the text in the widget-box itself.
    Do you mean that too??
